I can relate, because I have messed up enough cross-stitches, and failed at crocheting ... have you seen scalloped crocheted leper bandages?
I won't even talk about the time I 'learned to knit' - I was trying to make a simple scarf, and had to tear it apart (ok, my daughter did that for me)and start over. 'Now concentrate on what you are doing' advised my lightning fast knitting teacher. hmmph.
