Garden Bloggers Bloom Day- June 2010

What's blooming at my place? Irises, of course..
This little fledgling robin snuck in here somehow. Hope he finds a safe spot for the night!
My blue perennial geranium.
The thyme is blooming! Not so many bees, yet, though.
This is a 'sun rose' called 'Dazzler' -a pretty red Helianthemum.
Last, but never least, another iris - this is a closeup of Oriental Design.
Happy blooms! Thanks to Carol at May Dreams Gardens, who hosts Bloom Day every month!

Love the close-up of the Iris. There is so much detail there that most people overlook.

Thanks for the tips about the allium re-seeding. I would love to have more of them!
Thanks for stopping by Dung Hoe.

Oh, how sweet that you discovered the baby robin. Your flowers look fab and lucky you that the geraniums bloom blue! They turn purple in my weird soil. Happy Bloom Day!

Wonderful. My thyme has not bloomed yet but isn't that a lovely display.

Your baby robin is so sweet! I hope he did find a safe place for the night. :)

And I think I need to find a spot for that helianthemum... I LOVE that shade of red!

Wow! So many irises. It is riot of color. My irises didn't even bloom this year.

The thyme is lovely - reminds me of creeping phlox which blooms in spring. A bed of both would give color for a longer time - that's something I might have to try:)

Rosey- thanks for bearing with my iris pics. I never seem to tire of them!

Kate- there are several colors of the perennial geranium, I have that purple/magenta one, too.

Gardening/Sandbox and Melody - the thyme bed is awesome, especially AFTER I've weeded the grass out of it. I do have some phlox in there, too, just up farther than this picture shows. So far I am not sure I am pleased with the combination or not.

Blackswamp gal - more about the baby robin, later. A lot of drama.

Sylvana - sometimes iris won't bloom if they are too crowded or too shaded, or planted too deeply.

Thanks for your kind comments!
