Green Thumb Sunday thorns amid the roses, or dandelions amid the thyme?

My GTS is just a little dose of reality, which I am constantly getting from my garden:
We have some lovely thyme as a groundcover. Then I see (and today you can see it too!) the weeds amidst the beauty. I haven't even gotten to this end of the garden to weed out the grass, etc. that tries to sneak into the thyme.

Luckily, the heat burns off most of the weeds this time of year, but I also have some growing in some flower beds. It's so hot I just let them go. I'll really be busy come late September when everything starts looking good again. Can't wait!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I love your cake plate. It looks like it is Depression Ware and that is a collectable.

Thyme is such a pretty ground cover. I know what you mean about weeds, they just seem to show up over night. Happy weeding,....hugs, Linda

I am SO glad I am not the only one with weeding to catch up on. My thyme is growing like yours, but the weeds are gigantic! We had rain while we were on vacation and it turned into a jungle!
